Fill in the Blanks is in the business of how children learn to handle life. Games are how we make that happen. We make screen free games and activity formats that build emotional skills in children aged 4 to 11.
Our work is grounded in child development research and designed around a simple principle: Children acquire emotional skills the same way they acquire any other skill, through repeated, low pressure practice embedded in experiences they actually enjoy. Because children who practise handling difficult feelings in small, low stakes moments like a game, a story, a card drawn from a deck, are building the capacity to handle bigger ones.
Every game we make has a mechanic that asks something of the child emotionally. Waiting when they want to rush. Trying again when they want to give up. Naming what they feel instead of acting it out. Helping someone pause and calm down.
